The Martani Mountains trekking route stretches along the Martani ridge between Cesi and Giano dell’Umbria, passing through villages, legendary castles, churches, abbeys, and breathtaking landscapes.
In total, the trail spans about 120 km and does not present significant technical difficulties.
Here are two suggested routes:
Cesi – Sant’Erasmo Route
The trail starts in the village of Cesi, with a moderate climb leading to the Sant’Erasmo summit in just over an hour, where you’ll find the Astronomical Observatory.
“Itinerary of Silence”
For those who love long-distance hiking, this 14 km route starts in Massa Martana, passing through some of the most picturesque spots along the Martani trek, including the Convent of San Pietro sopra le Acque, Viepri, the Abbey of Saints Fidenzio and Terenzio, and Castel Rinaldi.
